James M. Pethokoukis takes a look at one of the most intriguing proposed uses of nanotechnology. How would you feel about having your blood replaced with a swarm of a trillion little swimming robots?

Where's the link? I've heard something about this. One interesting idea is to put in nanobots with incredible oxygen storage capabilities. Imagine being able to hold your breath for 30 minutes or more? And since blood goes everywhere, it's the ideal place to put any repair capability.
i might not want to be the first to try it, unless it'd be an immediate lifesaver. But, i'd certainly be willing to take the treatment, once it's been debugged, so to speak.
one potential (individual) doomsday scenario: wireless+nanoblood+hacker+"virus" = shutdown
i'd hate to have to be downloading microsoft security updates via iv on a daily basis!
People who do not think far enough ahead inevitably have worries near at hand.
